The 'VIPER' is a sleek mid weighted lure, with a narrow profile and deep body. This is an extremely easy lure to swim and has many applications.
The lure has been designed to sit horizontal at rest. This allows the nose to quickly dip, making it very tolerant to rough conditions. It is also great for fishing off the rocks.
Lure action:
It can be worked with a simple slow to rapid rod sweep. The lure will dive sub-surface, creating a smooth 'S' shaped swim pattern, before floating back to the surface, often jagging off to one side.
Another great way to fish the Viper is to just cast and retrieve with speed . Ideal for fast moving pelagics or quickly prospecting large areas to find where the fish are.
Although not a proper trolling lure, if rigged correctly, it is usually possible to troll this, often up to 10 knots.

The 'VIPER' works well with most hook configurations, my favourite is to use 2x Shout ringed Kudako singles. It slides through the water nicely with minimal effort and has a nice lively action
-175mm-60g. 5-7g hooks - 3/0 trebles, 7/0 Diablos, 5/0 Kudako Ringed or Single assist.
-200mm-90g. 7-9g hooks - 4/0 trebles, 9/0 Diablos, 6/0 Kudako Ringed or Single assist.
-225mm-130g. 9-11g hooks - 5/0 trebles, 11/0 Diablos, 7/0 Kudako Ringed or Single assist.
