The 'DEPTH CHARGE' is a fast sinking, full resin lure, primarily designed for targeting large pelagics. It features a full 2mm 316 grade stainless plate... this is a bombproof lure.
When to use it:
-When fish are dialed in on small baitfish, but you need to a heavy for size lure to cast a long distance on heavy gear.
-Conditions are too rough for traditional floating stickbaits to work.
-Fish are holding a little deeper.
-Trolling. These are perfectly balanced and can be trolled really well.
Lure action:
-These are a horizontal sinking, with a flashy flutter on the decent and a tight 'S' swimming action on the retrieve.
-These lures can be cast and retrieved at various speeds, swept, or twitched erratically.
-When swept or retrieved with some pace, the tail makes a nice vibration to attract those bites.
Lure sizes, specs and recommended rigging:
-125mm-60g. 1-2/0 trebles or 4/0 BKK Diablos, 3/0 Ringed Kudako. Or one large single 5/0+
-150mm-90g. 2-3/0 trebles or 5/0 BKK Diablos, 4/0 Ringed Kudako. Or one large single 7/0+
-175mm-140g. 3-4/0 trebles, 7/0 BKK Diablos, 5/0 Ringed Kudako.
*The 125mm and 150mm work really well with one large single or treble on tail or belly. This will free up these small lures and allow for more action. This is perfect for when targeting XXL tuna and you want to use a large strong hook.
